About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team at The Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Partnerships and Policy team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with geomatics teams across government.

Your role will involve leading projects and initiatives that advance the use of geomatics, and contributing to the development of policies, standards, and processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and address business needs, and provide support on geomatics projects including the drafting and review of project documentation.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in geomatics, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and experience with business analysis, project management, and collaboration. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with geomatics teams across government
  • Lead projects and initiatives that advance the use of geomatics
  • Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and processes
  • Provide support on geomatics projects including the drafting and review of project documentation
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address business needs

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Geomatics field, plus five (5) years related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
