About the Role

GS1 Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Process Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Business Analysis team, you will play a critical role in translating and documenting our GS1 solutions offerings, helping to consolidate various streams of data and information from throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Infographics and Reports: Create and present findings to senior management and executives on the current state of our business processes.
  • Conduct Process and Systems Mapping: Map business processes and systems from an external and internal perspective, identifying gaps and recommending process optimization.
  • Document Business Processes and Rules: Document business processes and rules in a user-friendly perspective, identifying gaps and recommending process optimization.
  • Capture Data Flow Mapping: Own capturing data flow mapping across various business and system processes, interpreting value offerings and validations.
  • Collect and Maintain Information: Collect, organize, and maintain information from various sources throughout the organization, delivering regular status updates on progress within various project assignments.
  • Interpret System and Technology Processes: Interpret system and technology processes, documenting findings.
  • Develop and Manage Reports: Develop and manage reports to identify trends and opportunities within key business areas.
  • Conduct Industry Research: Conduct industry research, communicating findings to leadership.
  • Act as a Conduit: Act as a conduit between the Business Data and Architecture team and other key stakeholders in the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Experience with developing and presenting reports, ability to connect with both business and technology stakeholders, strong analytical and deduction skills, ability to read, comprehend, summarize, and report on various sources of information, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, and working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of Retail and/or Manufacturing industry, as well as supply chain technologies and emerging trends, would be an advantage.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven ability to build effective and successful relationships within and outside the organization, ability to work at a detailed level, quickly learn business application-specific details, strong orientation toward excellence in results, and proven ability to quickly become a subject matter expert.
