About the Role

GS1 Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us to consolidate various streams of data and information from throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Mapping and Analysis: Conduct process and systems mapping from an external and internal perspective to identify areas for improvement.
  • Document Business Processes: Document business processes and rules in a user perspective and identify gaps and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Data Flow Mapping: Own capturing the data flow mapping across various business and system processes and interpret the value offerings and validations.
  • Information Management: Collect, organize and maintain information from various sources throughout the organization and deliver regular status updates regarding progress within various project assignments.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and manage reports to identify trends and opportunities within key business areas and conduct industry research and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a conduit between the Business Data and Architecture team and other key stakeholders in the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and deduction skills, ability to read, comprehend, summarize and report on various sources of information, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, and strong presentation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of Retail and/or Manufacturing industry as well as supply chain technologies and emerging trends would be an advantage.
