Position: Part-Time Commis Chef

Become an integral part of the vibrant team at Great Canadian Entertainment, where you will contribute to creating outstanding guest experiences. As a Commis Chef, you will operate under the supervision of the Senior Chef de Partie, focusing on food preparation, upholding company standards, and ensuring a safe culinary environment. Help us in crafting unforgettable moments for our guests and fellow team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items as directed
  • Organize mis en place for high-volume production
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Receive and properly store stock
  • Participate in culinary meetings and maintain effective communication with all departments
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to regulations
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Culinary education or apprenticeship is preferred
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate is mandatory
  • Strong communication skills
  • At least 6 months of culinary experience
  • High School diploma required
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Work Environment:

  • Flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check is required
