Opportunity Overview

We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity for a proactive individual to become a key member of our Innovative Product Support (IPS) team. This team comprises dedicated professionals who are focused on surpassing expectations through the development and enhancement of state-of-the-art products for Opus and our clientele. Our aim is to provide exceptional service within a structured and transparent framework, concentrating on maximizing return on investment.

The Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role within the IPS team, tasked with managing and mentoring our skilled Software Developers, conducting code evaluations, and enforcing Opus coding standards while enhancing internal libraries and processes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and nurture the growth of our software development team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and coordinate the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring seamless integration and migration of software components.
  • Conduct regular code evaluations, upholding coding standards and best practices to guarantee high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage and enhance test coverage, assessing and implementing testing strategies to ensure robust and reliable software.
  • Execute and manage extensive codebase upgrades, ensuring scalability and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to align technical solutions with business objectives and client expectations.
  • Prepare clear proposals and reports detailing project progress, milestones, and return on investment.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree, certificate, or diploma in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a software development and people management role.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding technical teams towards successful project outcomes.
  • Proficiency in C# development, with experience in Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation applications. Familiarity with VB.Net is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold coding standards, ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Excel is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, with the ability to manage and enhance test coverage.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, skilled at troubleshooting complex technical issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
