Property Management Leader

At Meridia Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a seasoned Property Management Leader to oversee our residential and commercial portfolio in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership to your team and delivering exceptional customer service to tenants while managing a diverse portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency and value creation across our portfolio
• Set performance goals and objectives for properties and teams, motivating them to achieve excellence
• Maintain strong relationships with tenants and drive new leasing activities
• Research and implement innovative products and services to enhance the tenant and team experience
• Ensure community engagement strategies align with our company values and needs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest property management technologies and offerings, collaborating with internal teams to identify areas for improvement
• Focus on managing profitability and ensuring properties meet budget expectations
• Contribute to the establishment and refinement of work quality, cultural initiatives, and best practices to drive results as a team

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with building owners and tenants
• Ability to see the big picture, act decisively, and create a collaborative environment
• People-focused, with a strong understanding of client and team needs, perspectives, and motivations
• Bachelor's degree and advanced degree an asset
• Minimum of five years of residential and commercial property management experience
• Strong financial acumen and experience reviewing budgets, CAM reconciliations, and other financial reports
• Familiarity with building systems, lease negotiation, documentation, and administration
• At least three years of management experience
• Experience using a property management accounting platform, such as Yardi, Kardin, or MRI
