Business Client Consultant - Bilingual
We are committed to creating a relationship-focused banking experience for the contemporary world.

As a Business Client Consultant, you will be part of our Business Client Advice Centre (BCAC), reporting directly to the Team Leader of Business Banking.

Your role will involve delivering an outstanding virtual client experience to both new and existing clients, aligning with CIBC's mission to excel in client relationships and enhance client loyalty.

You will assist business clients in achieving their immediate and long-term objectives by comprehensively understanding their financial and operational needs, while also identifying opportunities to strengthen our partnership.

Your support will extend to clients' daily business requirements, ensuring that cash management and basic credit needs are addressed, and facilitating introductions to relevant internal partners for more complex requests.

This position allows for effective remote work, with occasional on-site requirements.

All employees must adhere to program guidelines and be prepared to report to their primary work location with minimal notice for business-related matters.

Ability to work independently from a home office equipped with a secure workspace, ensuring a distraction-free environment.

A reliable wired internet connection is essential, capable of consistently supporting high-quality calls and rapid response times (minimum download speed of 15 mbps and upload speed of 10 mbps).

Satellite internet services are not permitted due to their negative impact on call quality and service stability.

The BCAC operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM ET.

You must be flexible with your hours on a rotating schedule to meet client and branch needs.

Client Engagement: Interact with business clients and internal partners via phone and video conferencing to understand and address their business requirements or service requests.

Provide expert guidance and support to business clients through insightful conversations to fulfill their short and long-term needs, and connect high-value clients with the appropriate relationship teams.

Support the overall growth of Business Banking by promoting both deposit and credit products.

Operational Effectiveness: Prepare clear analyses and recommendations for credit submissions, ensuring compliance with lending due diligence policies.

Accurately document clients' financial information, ensuring all paperwork adheres to CIBC's policies and procedures.

Ensure that all internal interactions and client dealings meet the standards set by CIBC policies, including anti-money laundering, reputational and legal risk, code of conduct, and risk management.

Collaboration: Facilitate introductions for high-value clients to Relationship Managers in Business Banking to support their evolving business needs.

Connect clients with Imperial Service partners as necessary to enhance client relationships and address more complex personal needs.

Foster strong partnerships by collaborating closely with key stakeholders in Credit Risk Management and Retail Lending Services to resolve challenges related to credit and risk.

Digital Advocacy: Encourage and demonstrate the use of digital banking solutions by guiding clients to alternative banking methods such as ATM, Mobile, and SmartBanking for Business.

Demonstrate a well-rounded understanding of business banking products and services, credit analysis, and credit risk management principles.
