Your Contributions:

As a senior member of our Analog/RF team, you will play a crucial role in the design of high-speed circuits, beginning with fundamental transistor-level designs and advancing to complex multi-functional blocks. Your expertise in the analog/RF design process will be essential, encompassing device-level investigations, architectural exploration, large-signal simulations, physical implementations, electromagnetic and reliability assessments, and thorough verification.

In this position, you will:

  • Innovate new circuit concepts and see them through to completion independently.
  • Execute complete nanoscale CMOS design processes at 10 nm nodes and below.
  • Provide regular updates on your progress during design review meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with your team and the broader technical community at Ciena.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Master's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics/Science with an electrical focus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience demonstrating design success and innovation.
  • Proficiency in RF design using CMOS, BiCMOS, or III-V technologies, with a solid foundation in RFIC/Microwave theory.
  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor technology, fabrication processes, non-linear device modeling, and physical layout techniques.
  • Skilled in using engineering tools from Cadence, Mentor, and Synopsys for analog design.
  • Familiarity with ADS, Eldo, HFSS, and/or Microwave Office is advantageous.
  • A motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Programming experience in Python, Matlab, C++, and Skill.
  • Laboratory skills and experience with VNAs, BERT, SpecA, and high-speed sampling or real-time scopes.
