About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Advisor to join our team at Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum. As a Business Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering support to individuals and businesses in Cornwall, specifically third sector organisations including social enterprises, community interest companies, voluntary and charitable organisations.

Our Business Advisors need to have strong business, third sector and functional expertise they can bring to a range of clients, alongside proven abilities in engaging groups and individuals, and conveying knowledge effectively through a range of sessions and workshops and 1:1 sessions delivered both online and face to face.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver business support to individuals and businesses in Cornwall, specifically third sector organisations
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on business development and growth
  • Develop and deliver training and workshops to support business growth and development
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners
  • Contribute to the development of business support services and programmes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong business, third sector and functional expertise
  • Proven ability to engage groups and individuals and convey knowledge effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
