We are looking to create a pool of Administrative Support Officers for both permanent and temporary positions, available in full-time and part-time capacities. These roles will be filled as opportunities arise throughout the school year.

Position Overview

As a key member of our administrative team, the Administrative Support Officer will serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and stakeholders. Ideal candidates will exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor, coupled with outstanding communication abilities to effectively engage with all members of the school community.

Candidates should possess relevant experience and the capability to provide comprehensive support to the Corporate Services Manager. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, maintaining school facilities, managing databases, reporting issues, assisting with inventory checks, and updating asset registers. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in the administration and compliance of financial records, including account management, invoice processing, and month-end procedures.

Other responsibilities will encompass marketing efforts and the preparation of the school newsletter, along with the management of digital content on the school’s website and other platforms.

Successful applicants will ideally have a solid understanding of the operational systems within a dynamic educational environment. A willingness to adapt and a strong desire to acquire new skills are essential. Excellent organizational abilities, adherence to timelines, and a collaborative team spirit are crucial for this role. Attention to detail and familiarity with the Department of Education's protocols are highly valued.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with appropriate work rights. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencement. Consent to a National Criminal History Check conducted by the Department's Screening Unit.
