Client Service Specialist, Commercial Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Specialist to join our Commercial Banking team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional client service and support to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities- Client Onboarding
- Coordinate the collection of client information and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the onboarding process for new clients, including the setup of accounts and services.
- Client Servicing
- Provide timely and effective resolution to client service requests and issues.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Credit Support
- Assist with the preparation and submission of credit-related documents and information.
- Support the credit review process, including the collection of financial information and analysis.
- Fulfillment
- Coordinate with internal partners to ensure loan funding and business account openings are fulfilled as per client expectations.
- Monitor and report on the progress of various fulfillment requests.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and client satisfaction metrics.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance client experience.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client relationships.
- Education
- College/University degree or equivalent work experience.
- Skills and Experience
- Strong commitment to excellent client service and ability to work with clients to resolve issues.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize multiple requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills to obtain agreements with internal partners.
- Strong written and verbal skills with proven ability to engage stakeholders and clients.
- Good knowledge of onboarding, know your customer, and anti-money laundering processes.
- Good knowledge of fulfillment processes and roles of internal partners.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable software and technology platforms.
- Working knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment.
- Non-standard hours may be required.
