Job Title: Market Vice President

Donald's Fine Foods is a leading specialty meat procurement, processing, and distribution company serving customers in British Columbia, Western Canada, and globally. As a family-owned business, we prioritize customer focus, integrity, people, quality, and safety.

We operate three food processing facilities in British Columbia and one in Saskatchewan, with plans to expand into Edmonton, Alberta, and further invest in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Sales who will report directly to the CEO.

The Role:
  1. Lead the sales and marketing efforts for our products and services.
  2. Analyze and evaluate sales strategies, methods, costs, and results to drive growth.
  3. Develop a comprehensive business plan for the sales and marketing department.
  4. Establish short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, best practices, and operating procedures.
  5. Drive consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through strategic planning.
  6. Develop specific plans and KPIs to ensure revenue growth and margin growth in each product category, major accounts, and market segments.
  7. Train, develop, and manage the sales and marketing team.
  8. Oversee staffing requirements and ensure proper onboarding and training.
  9. Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure continuous growth and development.
  10. Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short-term and long-term sales and earnings.
  11. Have a thorough understanding of our products, services, capabilities, customers, and current markets.
  12. Oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
  13. Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets.
  14. Research and develop strategies to identify sales and marketing opportunities.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
  1. Minimum 10 years of experience managing a sales and marketing team.
  2. Experience in the retail food or food-manufacturing industry, with a focus on meat products.
  3. Meat industry experience is highly valued.
  4. Perishable foods or consumer packaged goods experience is an asset.
  5. Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent with a focus on sales and marketing.
  6. Passion for continuous improvement and ability to inspire and lead a sales and marketing department.
