Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our Cards, Analytics & Insights team at Royal Bank of Canada. In this role, you will work closely with senior management and collaborate with various product teams to support business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end analytics advisory services, including conceptualizing business questions, designing and executing analytics frameworks, and recommending and influencing credit card business decisions.
  • Identify underlying business trends using analytical tools and transform them into actionable insights.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on analytics and data science topics, including data visualization, storytelling, KPI definition, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Support business growth targets by understanding business needs and providing concise, insightful, and timely analytics of key trends.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify, prioritize, and deploy analytics to define new business opportunities and support decisions.
  • Present and defend analysis and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
Requirements
  • At least two previous work term experiences in clients, product, marketing, or risk analytical or reporting roles; experience in supporting credit card business and/or financial services industry an asset.
  • Programming experience to extract data and complete complex analytics, including SQL, SAS, and Python.
  • Instinctive curiosity and strategic mindset to drill into analytics and understand business drivers and predict business growth.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the company, with strong skills in presentation and storytelling.
  • A hunger for continued development and learning.
