Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise through advanced customer analytics, delivering meaningful insights that drive business results in alignment with overall group goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze data using technical data mining software such as SAS, Power BI or Python; format Big Data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards; and highlight significant information regarding trends, opportunities and exposures.
  • Independently produce and summarize statistical findings, draw business conclusions, and present actionable business recommendations used in the management of risks and related activities.
  • Identify customer trends and patterns to address identified business questions and provide insights through reporting and data visualization techniques.
  • Develop presentations to effectively storyboard analytical insights, summarize statistical findings, draw conclusions and present actionable business recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain customer strategies using analytics, predictive modeling and business rules to optimize decisions and productivity.
  • Work with data owners to discover and select available data sources from internal sources and external vendors to fulfill analytical needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a simple, clear way to drive action.
  • Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service for scheduled reporting production processes.
  • Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Support the execution of accurate and efficient reporting solutions for risk, regulatory and management information to internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans.
  • Identify emerging external issues and trends to inform decision-making and internal action.
  • Conduct analysis required to inform strategic recommendations and consider the "big picture" when assessing whether or not a course of action is advisable in terms of the group and enterprise goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of programs and solutions.
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
  • Embrace broader work or expanded accountabilities that are assigned.
  • Foster a culture aligned to BMO's purpose, values and strategy and role model BMO's values and behaviors in all that they do.
  • Ensure alignment between values and behavior that fosters diversity and inclusion.

  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
  • Broaden work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
