Job Summary:

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Grade Person to join our team. As a Grade Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and read construction drawings to identify site-specific requirements.
  • Utilize survey instruments to establish accurate line and grade, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify and report any conflicts or discrepancies to the site supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to resolve complex problems and ensure project progress.
  • Direct operators of equipment to adjust grade by moving earth, gravel, and other materials, ensuring accurate grade achievement.
  • Measure distances from reference points or offsets to accurately install utilities, maintaining project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Grade Person is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including cold, rain, heat, etc.
  • Ability to walk long distances, ensuring site coverage.
