Are you a person with a disability seeking meaningful work experience? Do you want to contribute to projects that benefit Canada and gain valuable learning opportunities in a diverse and creative environment?
The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) offers the Persons with Disabilities Internship, providing individuals with practical experience across various fields. These include research and development, engineering, technology, administration, library science, computer science, trades, business, finance, human resources, and more.
Interns work in a supportive and collaborative environment, benefiting from access to state-of-the-art equipment, facilities, and expertise.
Who Can Apply?- You are a person with a disability. Disability is defined as any impairment, including physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication, or sensory impairments—or functional limitations—whether permanent, temporary, or episodic in nature, evident or not, that hinders a person's full and equal participation in society.
- You have obtained a High School diploma (or grade 12 equivalent).
While positions vary, extensive experience is not required.

- Self-declare as a person with disability in your application under Employment Equity in the Job Specific Information section of the application.
Individuals hired under the Persons with Disabilities Internship will be compensated at the appropriate salary for the specific position's classification group and level.
In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements of the specific position will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
