Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time Mathematics Educator to join our team. As a Mathematics Educator, you will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, providing guidance and support in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics to students at different levels
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Work Environment
