Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

As a valued member of the Royal Bank of Canada, the Commercial Banking Advisor role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in the dynamic field of commercial finance. This position is integral to the Client Relationship Team, working collaboratively with Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions, Service Advisors, and other key team members. Ideal candidates will possess a strong desire to contribute to a team-oriented environment, delivering exceptional service and insights to business clients. Those with a background in finance, retail, or service industries, along with experience in sales, will find this role particularly rewarding.

This position involves close interaction with clients in the Real Estate sector. Previous experience in a similar capacity or proficiency as an Advisor in a financial setting is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in needs assessment and solution formulation to provide commercial clients with tailored advice for their banking operations.
  • Identify, strategize, and implement optimal solutions for clients and prospects, leveraging a deep understanding of their business and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Client Relationship Team to devise client engagement strategies and proactively reach out to clients to assess their evolving needs and offer value-added advice and services.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven success in a sales and service capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability in relationship management and a solid track record of sales achievements.
  • Familiarity with modern communication tools and technologies (e.g., virtual meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).
  • Foundational knowledge in both business and financial principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or financial management, such as a BBA or B. of Commerce, or equivalent practical experience.
