Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

Joining RBC as a Commercial Banking Advisor presents a unique opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in the realm of commercial finance. In this pivotal role, you will become an integral part of the Client Relationship Team, working collaboratively in a results-driven atmosphere alongside Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions experts, Service Advisors, and other team members. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment, delivering exceptional advice and experiences to business clients. Candidates with a background in finance, retail, or service industries, along with experience in sales, client engagement, and a commitment to ongoing learning and self-improvement, will excel in this vital Trusted Strategic Advisor role.

This position involves close collaboration with clients in our Real Estate portfolio. Previous experience in a similar capacity is preferred, along with proficiency as an Advisor in a branch setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in needs assessment and solution formulation to provide commercial clients with tailored advice for their daily banking activities.
  • Identify, strategize, and deliver optimal solutions to clients and prospects based on a comprehensive understanding of their business and operational needs.
  • Work in tandem with the Client Relationship Team to devise client engagement strategies and proactively reach out to clients to comprehend their evolving needs, circumstances, and to offer value-added advice and services.

Location Flexibility

Candidates should be open to mobility within the designated region.

What do you need to succeed?

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven success in a sales and service capacity.
  • A strong track record of effective relationship management and sales achievements.
  • Familiarity with modern communication tools and technologies (e.g., web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).
  • Fundamental skills in both business and financial literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or financial management is advantageous (e.g., BBA, B. of Commerce, or equivalent practical experience).
