The RBC Enterprise DevOps division is in search of a talented and engineering-focused Product Manager who will provide strategic value across RBC.

In this capacity, you will spearhead the product vision, roadmap, and development of RBC's developer platform by collaborating closely with senior management, product stakeholders, and both development and business teams. Your extensive expertise in software delivery and DevOps will be instrumental in enhancing developer experience, improving code quality, and ensuring application security and compliance within the RBC application ecosystem. You will have the chance to engage with various technical and business teams to foster growth within the RBC DevOps unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and uphold the RBC DevOps roadmap, prioritizing projects, defining measurable benefits for application development teams utilizing our DevOps solutions, monitoring key outcomes, and ensuring alignment with RBC's technological strategic vision.
  • Facilitate robust customer engagement through community gatherings, practitioner advisory groups, targeted user groups, and collaborative product management sessions.
  • Conduct market needs assessments on significant initiatives and make informed product decisions based on data. Continuously analyze industry trends.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle for initiatives, including planning, prioritization, documentation, communication, and execution of rollout strategies.
  • Forge strong partnerships with executives in RBC's application development teams to ensure alignment with their needs, as well as with RBC vendors to synchronize strategies and roadmaps for key products.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management and Agile methodologies within the technology sector, leading product discussions, conducting market research, and overseeing software development and delivery.
  • A solid foundation in software engineering, with advanced knowledge and experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and related fields.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams while also working independently to devise innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and translation skills to bridge technology and business audiences, adapting messaging and approach accordingly.
  • Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Business, or Marketing, complemented by hands-on experience in API delivery, Data Management, and/or Business Analytics.
