The RBC Enterprise DevOps division is seeking a talented and engineering-focused Product Manager who will provide strategic value across the organization.

In this capacity, you will spearhead the product vision, roadmap, and development of RBC's developer platform by collaborating closely with senior executives, product stakeholders, and development/business teams. Your extensive expertise in software delivery and DevOps will be pivotal in enhancing developer experience, ensuring code quality, and maintaining application security and compliance across RBC's application suite. You will engage with various technical and business teams to foster growth within the RBC DevOps unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and uphold the DevOps roadmap for RBC, prioritizing initiatives, defining measurable outcomes for application development teams utilizing our DevOps services, and monitoring key performance indicators aligned with RBC's technological vision.
  • Facilitate robust customer engagement through community events, practitioner steering committees, targeted user groups, and collaborative product management sessions.
  • Conduct market needs assessments on significant initiatives and make informed product decisions based on data analysis. Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle for initiatives, including planning, prioritization, documentation, communication, and execution of rollout strategies.
  • Forge strong partnerships with executives from RBC's application development teams to ensure alignment with their needs, as well as with RBC vendors to synchronize strategies and roadmaps for key products.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management and Agile methodologies within the technology sector, driving product discussions, conducting market analyses, and overseeing user experience research, software development, and delivery.
  • A solid foundation in software engineering, with advanced knowledge and experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and related fields.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams while also demonstrating independence in creatively addressing challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and translation skills to connect technical and business audiences, adapting messaging and approaches accordingly.
  • Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Business, or Marketing, coupled with hands-on experience in API delivery, Data Management, and/or Business Analytics.
