The Capital Formation Group of Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) is seeking a Senior Manager, Life Sciences and Innovation to join our team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Managing Director, Global Innovation Sector, this role will play a vital part in developing new listings for TSX/TSXV in the life sciences sector and establishing the exchanges as a central destination for Canadian and small-to-midcap international companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and influencers in the life sciences sector, including investment banks, securities lawyers, accountants, advisors, investors, associations, governments, and company executives.
  • Articulate the value proposition for TSX/TSXV relative to other domestic and global exchanges, and support the broader TSX and TSX Venture Exchange at industry events.
  • Identify, initiate, and qualify opportunities to maintain a balanced funnel with a continuous focus on moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Document sales activities in Salesforce and provide regular opportunity pipeline and forecast updates and reports as needed.
  • Support the broader TSX and TSX Venture Exchange and represent TMX at industry events.
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership materials for the Exchanges on the opportunities for life science companies to access capital.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce or MBA or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of consultative selling experience, including financial products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus and presentation experience.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel and presentations to C-Level executives.
  • Collaborative teammate who can work efficiently with numerous partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets.
  • Familiar with Salesforce CRM or similar/equivalent sales tools.
  • Travel is a requirement of the role.
