About the Role

The Wealth Management Associate Program is a 5-month salaried program designed to develop sales and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who are looking for a career in credit-focused banking. As a Private Banking Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with high-net worth clients, providing personalized and attentive service to help them meet their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build core credit underwriting and relationship management skills
  • Develop sales and entrepreneurial skills to succeed in a client-facing role
  • Work with a team of experienced Private Bankers to gain practical experience and knowledge
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to gain a thorough understanding of Scotiabank's Private Banking and Wealth Advisory businesses

Requirements

  • Completing a undergraduate or master's degree by June 2025, or have work experience in building client relationships and providing financial advice
  • Completed a course of study that will enable registration with the appropriate provincial securities commission to obtain a license to sell mutual funds
  • Aspire to build a career as a personal Banker
  • Curious, critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with others
  • Sales and relationship focused mindset
  • Ability to influence, persuade and build consensus as well as effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
  • Flexible and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong organization and time management skills and enjoy working in both team and independent settings
  • Value feedback and actively seek out opportunities for self-development
