About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Resolute Forest Products Inc. in Northwestern Ontario. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects and maintenance activities at our sawmills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and services
  • Monitor and analyze project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related industrial manufacturing sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, MS Project, and CMMS
