We are looking for a Director of Municipal Roadway Engineering to join our Ontario Design and Engineering team. This key position is part of our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). You will oversee and develop the municipal roadway engineering division, playing a pivotal role in crafting and executing a strategic vision to elevate our engineering services for both existing and prospective clients.
This position blends technical expertise with operational oversight. You will also engage in high-level management discussions that shape the future direction of the firm.
Your daily responsibilities will include recruiting and mentoring team members, collaborating with various IBI Group offices, managing your team, and coordinating with other departments. A significant aspect of this role involves business development, including managing client relationships, marketing initiatives, and leading proposal efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Principal on projects, offering leadership and technical guidance as necessary.
- Provide expert consultancy for projects, developing innovative solutions that may extend beyond standard practices.
- Enhance your professional reputation within the industry and IBI Group.
- Oversee the delivery of specialized project components, ensuring the formation of the most effective teams.
- Manage technical risk, safety, and value throughout the design process.
- Develop and implement integrated design programs, establishing key performance milestones and reports at all project stages.
- Support the technical growth of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Foster and maintain client relationships throughout and after project completion.
- Utilize technical insights to identify and pursue new client opportunities.
- Contribute technical expertise to the bidding process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years of consulting experience on large-scale and complex projects.
- Proven technical, commercial, and delivery capabilities.
