About the Role

Cedars Bakery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative pastry and dessert menus that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new pastry and dessert menus that showcase our bakery's expertise and creativity.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of pastry and dessert items, including cakes, pastries, and desserts, to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to help them develop their skills and confidence.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
