Overview of the Position

HUB International is expanding and is in search of a motivated Personal Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This role is based in Ontario and involves managing a pre-existing portfolio of clients. We are looking for a collaborative individual who is detail-oriented, enjoys engaging with clients, and is dedicated to achieving results within set timelines. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable to the evolving demands of the business and will report directly to the Personal Insurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facets of an established client portfolio.
  • Efficiently manage incoming and outgoing client inquiries, including priority correspondence.
  • Meet new business and retention goals, utilizing re-marketing strategies as necessary.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and actively seek referrals.
  • Conduct regular outreach to existing clients to maintain relationships and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Perform proactive mid-renewal calls to assess client needs and provide tailored advice.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
  • Address client concerns and complaints while upholding service excellence.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and document all interactions.
  • Keep informed about accounts receivable and underwriting practices while utilizing relevant portals for policy adjustments.
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members as needed.
  • Evaluate and quote new and renewal personal lines risks.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and company protocols through ongoing training and educational opportunities.

Qualifications for Success

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the insurance sector, particularly in Personal Lines.
  • RIBO license is mandatory.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Familiarity with EPIC broker management system is advantageous.
