The Opportunity

The Market Insights and Engagement (MI&E) team is dedicated to enhancing programs and products within the organization. This team collaborates with various Associations in the regulated technologies sector to foster behavioral changes and improve safety outcomes across the region.

As a key member of the MI&E team, the Insights and Engagement Analyst is responsible for designing and executing research initiatives that focus on product, market, and evaluation methodologies. These efforts are aimed at supporting the development and implementation of effective provincial safety policies, regulations, and programs. The Analyst will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable strategies that enhance compliance and safety outcomes.

Pay Grade: 16 (Hourly Rate: $46.27 to $53.59, based on a 40-hour work week)
Location: Flexible within regional offices
Reports to: Leader, Market Insights & Engagement

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders and project managers, helping them identify and articulate their needs for insight generation, including refining research questions and project scoping. Design and facilitate research and evaluation projects that align with decision-maker requirements and adhere to best practices in research methodologies. Assist in the development of product segment strategies and roadmaps through comprehensive research and market analysis, supporting organizational transformation in alignment with these strategies. Engage in experimental design processes, utilizing creativity to explore innovative solutions that deliver value to both internal and external clients. Collaborate cross-functionally on data collection, analysis, and reporting, utilizing both internal and external data sources. Analyze data to derive meaningful insights and translate research findings into actionable recommendations, grounded in a thorough understanding of the safety system and relevant stakeholders. Effectively present qualitative and quantitative insights to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact in decision-making processes, including senior leadership. Advocate for evidence-based recommendations regarding product, policy, or program design and implementation with key stakeholders. Lead initiatives to centralize and enhance accessibility of existing research and knowledge across the organization. Contribute as a subject matter expert in establishing organizational standards and tools related to research design, data collection, and reporting. Foster continuous learning and development within the team and organization through knowledge sharing and mentorship. Prepare and contribute to reports, presentations, and business cases that support departmental objectives. Pursue personal professional development goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

A post-secondary degree in fields such as psychology, marketing, product development, management, or evaluation, or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of experience in product discovery and client engagement, with a focus on qualitative and quantitative analysis to enhance products and programs. This includes conducting needs assessments, evaluations, literature reviews, and survey design and analysis. Strong analytical skills with expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including content analysis, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis. Proficient in data visualization and effective communication, both verbal and written. Excellent command of the English language. Strong project management and organizational capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM and other software is advantageous. Proven ability to cultivate effective working relationships in stakeholder-rich environments. Adaptable, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure with shifting priorities. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of confidentiality when handling sensitive information. A sense of humor is appreciated.
