Opportunity Overview

The Market Insights and Engagement (MI&E) division spearheads client exploration to enhance programs and offerings within the organization. This team emphasizes collaboration with Associations across the regulated technologies to jointly foster behavioral changes and elevate safety outcomes in the region.

The Insights and Engagement Analyst is responsible for designing and executing product, market, and evaluation research, employing best practices to support the creation, execution, and enhancement of effective provincial safety policies, regulations, products, programs, and various initiatives. This role collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to interpret, convey, and implement research findings into actionable strategies aimed at improving compliance and safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a knowledgeable advisor to organizational leaders and project managers, assisting them in identifying and articulating their requirements for insight generation (including refining research inquiries, project planning, and resource allocation). Design and facilitate research and evaluation initiatives that align with decision-maker and project requirements while adhering to best practices in research methodologies. Aid in the formulation of product segment strategies and roadmaps through research, market segmentation, and analysis, while supporting organizational transformations in alignment with these strategies. Engage in experimental design (including prototyping, wireframing, and proofs-of-concept), applying innovative thinking to explore creative solutions that deliver value to both external and internal clients. Collaborate cross-functionally on data collection, analysis, and reporting from various internal and external data sources. Skillfully extract insights from data and translate research outcomes into actionable recommendations, grounded in a comprehensive understanding of the safety system (including current client segments, stakeholders, and the relevant policy and regulatory frameworks). Present and communicate qualitative and quantitative data and insights in innovative and clear formats to effectively engage target audiences and enhance decision-making processes, including at senior leadership levels. Advocate for evidence-based recommendations concerning product, policy, or program design and implementation with decision-makers and project leaders. Lead initiatives to centralize and enhance the accessibility of existing research and knowledge across the organization. Contribute as a subject matter expert to the development of organizational standards, guidelines, and tools related to research design, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing and development within the team and broader organization. Oversee and contribute to reports, presentations, and business cases that support departmental objectives and initiatives. Pursue personal professional development goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

A post-secondary degree in psychology, marketing, product/program development, management, evaluation, or analytical marketing roles, or equivalent education and experience. At least 5 years of experience in product discovery and client engagement, with expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis to enhance products and programs, including:
Conducting needs assessments, process and outcome evaluations; Performing literature reviews and environmental scans; Designing and administering surveys, and analyzing survey results; Conducting and analyzing interview or focus group data; Strong analytical skills in both qualitative and quantitative domains, with knowledge of best practices (e.g., content and framework analyses, descriptive analyses, correlational and regression analyses). Exceptional data visualization, knowledge translation, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient command of the English language. Strong project management and organizational capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with CRM and other software is advantageous. Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships in environments rich with stakeholders. Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work independently under pressure with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines. Superior interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a high degree of tact and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. A sense of humor.
