Position Overview

As a vital contributor to the Medical Imaging Department, you will be tasked with executing Computed Tomography and X-ray imaging operations in alignment with established departmental guidelines, protocols, and standards. Your role will involve collaborating with team members to maintain an efficient and secure workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate CT and X-ray images of superior diagnostic quality to fulfill departmental criteria.
  • Deliver outstanding patient care for Emergency Department, Inpatients, and Outpatients.
  • Compile written and electronic documentation as necessary to record all procedures and test outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritize workflow effectively.
  • Engage with patient care units, physicians, external departments, and other imaging modalities.
  • Participate in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives as required.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure the proper functioning of medical imaging and ancillary equipment.
  • Contribute to educational, training, and quality improvement programs and activities.
  • Understand and adhere to organizational and departmental policies and procedures, providing input for the development of imaging protocols that enhance technical quality.
  • Uphold the organization's mission and values while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Perform additional patient care duties to support optimal patient care and fulfill cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attend meetings as necessary.
Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiography training program.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Possess the knowledge, skills, and judgment outlined in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" to perform the relevant services and procedures within the profession's scope of practice.
  • Ability to organize tasks, set priorities, manage time efficiently, and produce precise results while working independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Dedicated to service excellence while efficiently addressing patient and staff needs.
  • In alignment with the Hospital's Mission, Vision, and Core values, maintain a positive role within the department and with external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage stress and conflicts professionally and effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the role.
  • Maintain a satisfactory employment and attendance record.
  • CT training is preferred.
  • Completion of CT Imaging courses is an asset.
Additional Information

Hours: Monday – Friday 1200hrs-2000hrs (subject to operational needs).

Salary: $50.255 per hour.
