We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine departments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to ensure accurate and timely results
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency and productivity
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Recent experience of 3 - 5 years in a core lab environment
- Strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine
- Familiarity with routine automated equipment
- Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team
- Ability to work independently during off-hours
- A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
Halton Healthcare offers a competitive salary range of $34.56 to $46.32 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
