Job Title: LTO Educational Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Educational Assistant to support our students in a long-term substitute capacity. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students in a classroom setting
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Support students with special needs and behavioral challenges
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma in a child-related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum six (6) month diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a child-related discipline and a minimum of one (1) year of related work experience
  • Valid Behaviour Management Systems certification
  • Proven ability and recent experience in working with students with special needs and behavioral disabilities
