Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Organizational Development and Culture at UAP Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Real Estate function throughout our portfolio across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including lease administration and project management.
  • Building Inspections: Conduct regular building inspections and ensure all identified issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Property Security and Life Safety: Ensure property security, life safety, and energy systems comply with local codes, by-laws, and policies.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure corporate governance, environmental, health & safety policies and procedures are compliant.
  • Real Estate Strategy: Establish a real estate strategy for real estate needs by evaluating opportunities related to business demands, market factors, risks, and overall business objectives.
  • Critical Dates Management: Ensure timely action is taken on real estate critical dates (renewals, expirations, terminations, etc.).
  • Policy Development: Establish and implement a Corporate real estate and Facility Management policy and ensure they are followed.
  • Benchmarking and Reporting: Develop benchmarking standards and key metrics and update periodically. Develop and present relevant real estate portfolio reporting to senior management and provide regular status reporting to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Communication and Integration: Ensure effective communication and integration with internal customers and external partners.
  • Acquisitions and Renovations: Manage any acquisitions, renovations, closures, and store moves to ensure they run smoothly with proper expertise and according to plan.
  • Capital and Operating Budget: Develop, administer, and submit an annual capital and operating budget accurately and on time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, engineering, or relevant experience.
  • The title of CPM or RPA is an asset.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in property maintenance management or commercial property management including maintenance management.
  • Experience in managing real estate portfolios and improving financial performance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Established leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives teams.
  • Fluent in both oral and written French and English (required).
  • Frequent travel.
