Job Title: Director of People and Culture

Flare is a rapidly growing cybersecurity Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup with a mission to empower organizations to take control of their data and protect their customers, employees, and brand by shedding light on external threats.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of People and Culture to lead our talent strategy and shape the employee experience as we grow. This role will be instrumental in preserving our unique culture while managing the challenges and opportunities that come with scaling from a small team to a workforce of up to thousands of employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Flare's core values and ensure they remain at the heart of our decision-making and day-to-day operations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, intelligence, and passion as we grow.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract diverse, high-caliber talent.
  • Design and implement talent development programs to ensure employees grow professionally and personally within Flare.
  • Create initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Actively seek and act on employee feedback to maintain a healthy, collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and execute people-related strategies that support our business objectives.
  • Build compensation models and structures that make Flare competitive on the market.
  • Lead DEI initiatives that promote a culture of belonging, ensuring diverse voices are heard and respected.
  • Ensure that all HR policies are compliant with provincial and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required.
  • 3+ years of HR leadership experience, ideally with an organization scaling up to 1000 employees.
  • Deep passion for fostering collaborative, intelligence-driven, and values-based environments.
  • Ability to maintain this culture as the organization scales.
  • Lead with curiosity and empathy in all interactions.
  • Thrives on feedback and motivated to hone their craft.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
