Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Sales Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Client Service Team, you will work closely with Account Executives and interact extensively with operational areas to support the sale and retention of group insurance plans. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, build strong business relationships, and maintain service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resolution of basic and complex issues and inquiries, often with multiple departments and target dates, and accurately communicate results to the customer/advisor/consultant.
  • Collaborate with the new business installation team on the set up of new groups, including completion of online enrolment and reporting tasks.
  • Plan and execute detailed communication project plans for both new and existing customers, including creation of custom educational documents and coordination with internal brand and marketing teams.
  • Required to plan and execute Group Administrator training sessions, including in-depth understanding of administrative, system, product, invoicing, and group insurance requirements, processes, and guidelines.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute a proactive service visitation strategy for groups within your block of business and promote Medavie services and technology.
  • Required to participate in finalist presentations, trade shows, wellness fairs, advisor information meetings, and employee education sessions, including understanding customer requirements, creating and delivering meaningful, interesting, and accurate presentations and associated documentation.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • At least one to three years of work experience in group insurance.
  • Good understanding of group health, dental, life, and disability insurance plans.
  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining a designation in the field of insurance (an asset).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes for more than a day.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Public speaking or presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Webex.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
