About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at A&W. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Train and develop our staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that our restaurant is running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure that we have enough stock to meet customer demand.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on sales, stock levels, and other key performance indicators.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and ensure that inventory is managed effectively.
    • Order supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure that we have enough stock to meet customer demand.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the management team to achieve our goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is informed and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to train and develop staff.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. As a Shift Manager, you will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
