Job Title: Benefits Associate

At Selectpath Benefits & Financial Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Associate to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional client service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Provide direct client support and education, advocating for clients and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist in managing client records, preparing necessary documentation, and enhancing service delivery.
  • Communication: Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, explain benefits options, and facilitate the resolution of any issues.
  • Carrier Negotiations: Assist in negotiating pricing with benefit carriers to secure the most favorable terms for clients.
  • Advisor Support: Help Advisors prepare for finalist meetings and assist in producing benefit plan options and proposals for prospective clients.
  • File Management: Manage large client files with attention to detail, ensuring that all client information is accurately recorded, securely stored, and easily accessible for reference.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Assist in training Benefits Administrators, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall proficiency and performance of the team.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of benefits experience required.
  • Certifications: Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, or willing to obtain. Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred, or willing to obtain.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to take initiative and a pro-active approach to work.
