We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team at Sentry Property Group Inc. as an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage cash flow, prepare financial statements, and develop processes and controls.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of accounting experience, with a recognized accounting designation. They will be responsible for communicating with tax accountants and senior management, preparing tax documents, and reviewing year-end results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robust financial systems and controls
  • Prepare financial statements with insightful analysis
  • Manage cash flow and oversee financial reporting
  • Experience with construction and property management is an asset
  • Experience managing multiple corporations is a plus
  • Payroll and budgeting experience
  • Strong background in reporting and analysis
  • Identify efficiencies and process improvements
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of process changes across departments
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage50)
