**Job Summary**

The Scheduling Clerk will work under the direction of a Team Manager within the Home Care Program at WRHA Community Health Services. This role is responsible for maintaining Direct Service Staff schedules by entering data into the Home Care scheduling system, assigning, scheduling, and communicating with Direct Service Staff, clients, and other Home Care Staff.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in the maintenance of Direct Service Staff schedules by entering data into the Home Care scheduling system.
  • Assign and schedule Direct Service Staff to meet client needs.
  • Communicate with Direct Service Staff, clients, and other Home Care Staff to ensure smooth scheduling operations.
  • Collaborate with the Resource Coordinator to ensure accurate and up-to-date scheduling information.
  • Provide administrative support to the Home Care Program as needed.

**Requirements**

  • 2 to 3 years of related administrative experience.
  • Minimum 6 months of scheduling experience.
  • Data entry experience required.
  • Experience with computerized calendars and email systems.
  • Experience in healthcare would be an asset.
  • Experience with mail distribution, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Experience maintaining filing systems.

**Education and Qualifications**

  • Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies.
  • Formal training in applied office skills required.
  • Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Keyboarding speed of 45 wpm required.
  • Ability to maintain and compile statistics.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

**Working Environment**

The Scheduling Clerk will work in a team environment and be required to communicate effectively with Direct Service Staff, clients, and other Home Care Staff. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
