Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Educator in Anatomical Pathology to join our esteemed institution, McMaster University. This role is integral to the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) and the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine.
Location
Hamilton, Ontario
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in teaching and mentorship within the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine.
- Contribute to the subspecialties of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology, breast pathology, and skin pathology.
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance quality improvement and clinical research initiatives.
- Maintain a commitment to academic scholarship and continuing medical education.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Anatomical or General Pathology.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Ontario.
- Subspecialty expertise through recognized fellowship training or substantial practice experience in relevant areas.
- Strong skills in surgical pathology and frozen section analysis.
