Clinical Psychologist

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Pediatric Medicine Clinics at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating client goal achievement through individual and group interventions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and youth with complex mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including psychometric and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based modalities
- Provide consultation and education to staff on psychology-related issues
- Participate in program development, quality assurance, and research initiatives
- Collaborate with community partners and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university
- Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and authorization to work with children and adolescents
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of internalizing and externalizing disorders in pediatric populations
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and family-based therapy
- Minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in a mental health setting, preferably serving an outpatient pediatric population
