Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Co-ordinator, Student Practice Education to support the Education & Development department. This is a temporary full-time position that requires a strong background in education and experience in coordinating student placements, programs, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, coordinate, and implement strategic business processes in the Student Practice Education portfolio.
  • Ensure centralized processes are in place to support student practice education and meet Northern Health's operational training needs and workforce challenges.
  • Act as a liaison for cultivating environments of mutual collaboration between educational institutions, Northern Health practice environments, and administrative departments.
  • Support student learning, student placements, and recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health sciences field, plus three to five years of recent, related experience in undergraduate/post-graduate education, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Training and/or experience in mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Training and/or experience in coaching.
  • Proven experience in tactical planning, people management, and change management.
  • Experience and knowledge of the post-secondary system an asset.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
