Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking an experienced and highly efficient Coordinator to support the Education & Development department. The successful candidate will lead, develop, coordinate, and implement strategic and transparent business processes in the Student Practice Education portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement centralized processes to support student practice education and meet operational training needs and workforce challenges.
  • Act as liaison for cultivating environments of mutual collaboration between educational institutions, Northern Health practice environments, and administrative departments.
  • Support student learning, student placements, and recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals.
  • Travel around the Northern Health Region as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health sciences field, plus three to five years of recent, related experience in undergraduate/post-graduate education, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Training and/or experience in mediation and conflict resolution, coaching, and tactical planning, people management, and change management.
  • Experience and knowledge of the post-secondary system an asset.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
