Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at 10064519 Manitoba Ltd (O/A Shell Canada). This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and managing sales transactions effectively.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a retail setting
Work Environment

The position is based in a retail business and may include responsibilities at a gas bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cash register and manage sales transactions
  • Utilize computerized inventory systems for record keeping and re-ordering
  • Provide knowledgeable advice regarding merchandise
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Assist in the visual display and arrangement of merchandise
  • Conduct sales transactions through online platforms
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, warranties, and delivery schedules
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Maintain accurate sales records for inventory management
  • Prepare merchandise for sale or lease
Skills and Attributes
  • Ability to create appealing visual displays
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina for standing for extended periods and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
