About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Outside Automation Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at Westburne. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for representing the Rockwell Automation portfolio of products and services, providing technical and application knowledge to internal and external customers, and driving sales performance in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development and commercial activities.
  • Manage an opportunity funnel to achieve sales objectives and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.
  • Act as a pre-sale technical consultant to provide technical solutions to customers and provide post-sale technical support to build customer competency and confidence.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product updates, and attend supplier partner training to maintain specialized product and application knowledge.
  • Implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.
Requirements
  • Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
  • Understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical understanding of electrical circuits and working knowledge of industrial automation.
  • Product and application knowledge of Rockwell Automation Controllers, HMI's, and software.
  • Ability to accurately interpret single-line electrical drawings and understanding of industrial networking and Ethernet I/P.
