This position is eligible for hybrid remote work, subject to negotiation after the probation period.

Salary Information:

Recruitment range: $72,242 - $79,650, with the starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

Performance range: Starting salary to a maximum of $93,951, available through annual performance increases.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director of Experiential Learning, the Experiential Learning Manager will spearhead the experiential initiatives within the undergraduate business program. The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and support personal and career development courses, such as COM 405. This course is part of the experiential learning initiative, providing curriculum-based programming that connects students with relevant career development opportunities. Activities may include orientation sessions, conferences, project-based learning, and team coaching on program deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the curriculum design and execution of the COM 405 Career Preparation course.
  • Provide coaching to individual students and student teams.
  • Implement the teamwork curriculum for the Bachelor of Commerce program.
  • Facilitate workshops for undergraduate students.
  • Collaborate with members of the experiential learning team and internal stakeholders to ensure programming achieves learner-driven outcomes.
  • Quickly establish relationships with students, community partners, staff, and faculty.

Job Requirements

This position requires a relevant undergraduate degree in Administration, Education, Leadership, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including:

  • Coaching individuals and teams.
  • Development and delivery of experiential learning curricula.
  • Facilitation of workshops.
  • Implementation and assessment of educational program management.
  • Experience in diverse work environments and sensitivity to a varied stakeholder population.
  • Building collaborative relationships and awareness of mental health resources and initiatives.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience in designing and delivering both in-person and online educational programs.
  • Ability to connect objectives and outcomes to program goals.
  • Proficient digital literacy, including MS Office (particularly Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel), databases, and Zoom.
  • Understanding of career education theory is an asset.

Assets or Preferences:

  • Previous experience in career coaching and career education.
  • Experience in a post-secondary educational environment.
