Job Summary:

The District of Saanich is seeking certified Aquatic Instructors to manage and instruct swimming lesson programs. As an Aquatic Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and preparing lesson plans, instructing classes, evaluating participants, and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare lesson plans for swimming programs
  • Instruct assigned classes and ensure participants meet safety and skill standards
  • Evaluate participant progress and maintain accurate records
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 completion or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 15 years old
  • Lifesaving Society BC Swim Instructor Award
  • Over three months of related experience
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check

Working Conditions:

Successful candidates will work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Hours and shifts are subject to change.
