Job Title: Director of Cardiac Imaging

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cardiac Imaging to lead our team at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

About the Role

The Director of Cardiac Imaging will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cardiac imaging program, which includes PET, MRI, CT, SPECT, and echocardiography imaging. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, imaging scientists, nurses, and technologists
  • Oversee the daily operations of the cardiac imaging program
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve imaging quality and patient care
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop new imaging protocols and techniques
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • FRCPC certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)
  • Level 3 fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology
  • Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • Eligibility to practice medicine in Ontario
