About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Binkadi Community Services. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our clients in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Support
    • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and eligibility for specific services.
    • Develop and implement individualized plans to support clients' growth and development.
  • Life Skills Development
    • Design and deliver life skills workshops to promote clients' independence and self-sufficiency.
    • Assist clients in developing essential life skills, such as household management and food preparation.
  • Behavioral Support
    • Implement behavior management programs to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need.
  • Community Involvement
    • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings to promote socialization and community integration.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance services and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client progress and services provided.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required to support program evaluation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Training
    • First Aid Certificate.
    • CPR Certificate.
  • Language
    • English language proficiency.
