About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Child and Youth Worker at Binkadi Community Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Support
    • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and eligibility for specific services.
    • Develop and implement personalized support plans to address clients' unique needs.
  • Life Skills Development
    • Design and deliver life skills workshops to empower clients with essential skills for independent living.
    • Provide guidance and support to clients in developing their skills and abilities.
  • Community Engagement
    • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to access resources and services for clients.
    • Coordinate and implement community-based programs and services to support clients' needs.
  • Housekeeping and Food Preparation
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the group home environment.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients.
  • Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution
    • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need.
    • Resolve conflicts and disputes between clients and staff in a fair and respectful manner.
  • Supervision and Support
    • Supervise and support clients in their daily activities and routines.
    • Provide guidance and support to clients in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Certifications and Training
    • Hold current certifications in First Aid and CPR.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Health and Wellness
    • Ensure clients' physical and emotional health needs are met.
    • Provide support and guidance to clients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
    • Language
      • Fluency in English.
